Fruit & Seed Description: The 'fruit' is blue-black when mature, containing one seed. It is usually attached to a fruit-like fleshy swollen stalk. The 'fruit' is acually a modified cone, as this is a gymnosperm (non-flowering/fruiting plant), which attracts dispersers.
